Lime Chiffon Dessert (or any flavor jello!)
Graham cracker crumb crust:
1 1/2 cups crusted fine graham crackers (about 24 squares)
1/3 cup sugar
1/2 cup melted butter or margarine
Mix together and put in pie dish
1 pkg. (3oz.) lime jello (or any flavor)
1 cup boiling water
2 pkg.( 1 8oz. & 1 3 oz.) cream cheese
1 cup sugar
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 carton (16 oz.) whipped topping
Combine the first three ingredients; set aside 1/3 cup for topping.
Press remaining crumbs into the bottom of an ungreased 13"x 9"
baking dish; set aside.
In a mixing bowl, dissolve jello in boiling water; cool.
In another mixing bowl, beat cream cheese and sugar. Add vanilla
Slowly add gelatin until combined. Fold in whipped topping, blend well.
Spoon over crust; sprinkle with remaining reserved crumbs.
Cover, refrigerate for 3 hours or until set.
Makes 12-15 servings Enjoy!
